Slide Hampton came in to town

Last night I saw "Slide" Hampton play with the JazzMN big band(they rock!) and the JazzMN trombones.
His real name is something like Lionel Heffington Hampton.
Anyway
Slide was really good, but he only played for a bit, then directed, then play and so on. The JazzMN first trumpet was a real screamer, Bernie Edstrom.

Slide's name is Locksley Hampton.
