So, I got in ...

... to Trinity College of music for their Foundation programme, which is great, only I can't afford the £12,000 for the full-time course. I thought it was going to be about £5,000, but there's a 'part-time' course that costs £6,000, and the full-time course (what I really want) costs the full £12,000.

This sucks.

Jack, how many years of tuitition and associated fees (does it include accomodation?) does that £12,000 cover?

That's about $30,000 Cdn.... which is just a bit more than what it cost my daughter to get her B.Mus performance here (living at home and driving to school).

Of course, I understand that annual tuition at places like Juliard runs around $17,000 US per year and that doesn't include anything else (and N.Y ain't exactly a cheap place to live!)

It's for 1 year Ed! Not including anything else apart from the course.

It's a little confusing, but I think the 'part-time' option might be the same, but with a 45 minute lesson a week, instead of a 1.5 hour one. If this is the case, everything should be fine.
