| Forte User | KMT- No, I'm not for eugenics. But...raising children is the most important responsibility we have. It's merely a statement of the irony of our priorities. People need to take their child raising a bit more seriously. Better quit...I feel a rant coming on!

![]() | What does eugenics have to do with being a responsible parent? I think Glenn is pointing out the difference between being a sperm donor or egg carrier and being a loving, caring parent. Becoming a parent is, today, nothing more than a biological occurrence. It was once regarded as an important, life-altering event. That man in the story is an undisciplined sperm donor not a father. I'm with Glenn: the irony that exists regarding the things people have to be sanctioned for pale by comparison when you compare it the awesome responsibility of raising a child. There is no more important job for those that choose to become parents. ML |
