NickD has a spectacular aura about
Some seasonal music at my site + Trepak and Arbans

I post this here because I am sharing! I WANT you to have this music and enjoy it. I hope you enjoy it at least .01 as much as I had making it. Then it will all have been worth it! That is why I am allowing downloads onthese three tracks.

I posted three Christmas tunes I did for a contest last year. It is hard to believe a year has gone by! In any case I want to let you all know here! Please drop by and just enjoy.

The Little Drumer Boy - rock fusion version
http://www.mp3unsigned.com/Showmp3.a...=25025&aid=633
I play keyboards, bass trumpet, flugelhorn and trumpet on this track. I used some percussion loops. That's it. There are no high notes here, but I've got some funk plunger work on it, just for fun and something quite different.

Christmas Medley #1 - jazz fusion
http://www.mp3unsigned.com/Showmp3.a...=25026&aid=633
This one has a smattering of Good Christian Men Rejoice, Coventry Carol and God REst Merry Gentlemen. I DID put some very gratuitous high notes in here (I think I've got a double D in there somewhere! You'll have find it.) I play keyboard, trumpet and flugelhorn. I also used some percusion and efcects loops.

Christmas Medley #2 - jazz fusion
http://www.mp3unsigned.com/Showmp3.a...=25027&aid=633
This one is a medley of Lo How A Rose Ere Blooming and Bring a Torch Jeanette Isabella. I play keyboards, trumpet bass trumpet flugelhorn and piccolo trumpet on this one.

I sincerely hope you all enjoy this. I'll leave these up through the holidays. They'll come down after Christmas.

I do hope some of you can enjoy these.

Peace. Now I mean that, dagnabit! PEACE!

NickD has a spectacular aura about
The Trepak and mOre Arban's

I just re-uploaded some more seasonal cher - the Trepak from the Nutcracker. This is a one man brass quintet (please excuse my tuba playing). I was also using an old alto horn for the F.H. part. Other than that, I just use valve bone and tuba in additon to trumpet. Here's the link.

Also, as per a thread on TH, I've been cycling through my Arban etudes (only the 1st seven). I just uploaded number 4, fwiiw.

Enjoy (it's free!).

Nick I love that Arban!

Heh. I had a student a while ago I assigned that to. She played it in 5/16. (Didn't quite put 3 notes on the down beats). It was quite bizarre.

I like how your paired 16th pop; very clear accent delivers the last 16th to the triplet. Gives it a nice feel of forward motion.

Thanks all!

Thanks for the kind words, again!

Glen, your analysis is one of the things that always makes me itch a bit, if you will! You see, when I post an announcement here about the Arbans stuff, I know that fine players such as yourself will be listening and the you really KNOW this stuff! One little goof and you all will just flat out know it! Daunting! However, that adds impact to YOUR kind words! Thanks soo much for listening!

Peace.

Nick- Wow. I'm flattered that you would say that about my playing. Thank you.

I did not mean to make you "itchy" about posting; but I would certainly be the same way. (Notice I've yet to post any recordings. That's one of the reasons I haven't.)

I really appreciate hearing things you are working on and what's next. Please keep it coming!
