| Fortissimo User | Spammers, how to handle In recent weeks we've seen a couple of spammers "come and get kicked out". Now there's one that seems to have some longevity in Manny's forum (at least there are some people replying to his assinine post). Question: is there any way that some members other than the various forum mods can have access to an ability to boot the daylights out of these clowns before anyone has a chance to reply to them? Do we have to always notify the individual forum mod and/or admin to raise the red flag for the obvious spam? And a comment: for all regular members. When you see this crap being posted, don't reply to it in any way, shape or form. Notify "whomever" and then move on. The very fact that their topic stays on the "new posts" list is sufficient reward for them to post in the first place. Thanks. |

| Perhaps make a report user button where if a large number of users report the post, it is hidden from view until moderator review. Maybe make ability only available to members with a large number (>500? Forte club members?) for posts, and take it away if abused. Not sure how difficult something like this would be to implement. |

| Forte User | We can use the "Report post" button to let admin know that the board has been spammed or if posts are of a harassing or insulting nature. I'm with Toots... after reporting, ignoring and not replying deprives the spammer of his/her intent and is the best way to handle them. |

| Forte User | bump. Please do NOT respond to spam posts. Report them, but do nothing else. If possible, bump a new thread up so the spam is not seen on the forums board. |
