![]() | I used to respect her singing, until she started expressing her personal views. Its funny how famous people, particularly entertainers, assume people actually care what they think about anything not related to their industry. |

![]() | What's even more humorous is when the play characters in a movie and then testify in House and Senate hearings as thought they really are autorities on the subject. People actually do care what singers have to say though. The big mouths of the Dixie Chicks cost them a bundle and lost them a lot of fans.

![]() | I must admit that I, politically speaking, may have rolled on the floor roaring with laughter in agreement at the "floor show"! Although I really do believe that everyone deserves a forum for their personal views, political or otherwise, I think that maybe she did allow the bush-nanigans to go on a bit too long. But I will also say that she does "walk the walk". She has given a GREAT deal of monetary support to The Global Unity Initiative to back up her convictions. |

![]() | "Once the outburst (which Streisand later apologized for) was over, Streisand noted that "the artist's role is to disturb," and delivered a message of tolerance before launching into a serenely beautiful rendition of "Somewhere." That put the focus back on what the audience came for -- her voice, one of the greatest female instruments of her generation." The irony is killing me
