I work in TV Sports, this tape has circulated amongst our tape rooms for years, I figured it was only natural to be on YouTube. I'm of the understanding it was a statewide beauty pagaent, and Stacy is Miss Douglas County. I have no idea who she is, or if she even knew there was a talent portion of the contest.

It's believed that the tape has origins in the Kansas City area, and I thought it was a Nebraska beauty pageant."

I heard in addition to being a beauty pagent contestant she is an expert in metal (espeically brass), uses asymetric mouthpieces for all star wars performances, and owns a cyrogenic tank where she freezes her trumpets in search for the ultimate horn.

I gotta serious mid life crises happenin'.. wanna learn to play the trumpet, take a trip to Italy, get'a pilot's license, restore a steam locomotive and train, replicate a Corsair so i'll have reason to get a license, and drive an original 1967 Shelby American 427 Competition Cobra every day the weather allows. Tomorrow's always too far ahead for this motorhead. How's that for a profile into the mind of a wannabe forty somethin'r for life-eternal.

I looked for Miss Douglas County and couldn't find her either.
Thought it would be interesting to see if she sent a tape to the New York Phil........................

Seriously,
this type of performance is not as rare as one might expect. If we could find the context, we might learn something.
She did manage to nail her entries even if she was playing in another key (too much to be called out of tune). The soundtrack seems to have been fed directly to the recording and her playing recorded live. This does leave plenty of room for manipulation and I think I know a couple of TMers that could pull something like this off.................. Audacity and about an hours time = instant humor! Replacing the soundtrack is hardly any work at all!
