 | Stolen mobile phones. Today the news told about all the stolen mobile phones that you can buy cheaply on the web. This is how the criminals do it: 1) someone called a "goalkeeper" buys a lot of phones in a store for 1 Swedish crown (1 Skr) only. This can be done if the buyer signs up for a certain operator for a certain amount of time, which the goalkeeper does with all these phones. 2) The goalkeeper gives the phones to the other criminals who sell them for a few thousand Skr. The goalkeeper is payed for his part of the "job", and he never pays the operator anything. 3) The operator reports the goalkeeper to the police, who then arrests the goalkeeper. Since the goalkeeper always is a person with no income, often not a lot happens. He usually gets away cheaply, and he never tells anyone who got the phones. Loser? The operators and society! Winner? The criminals! Guilty? ANYONE WHO HANDLES ANY STOLEN GOODS!!! This means: do NOT buy stuff if you donīt have proof that itīs LEGAL!!
