| Fortissimo User | Tasting Sound? Here's a news article out of Switzerland about a woman who, when she hears sounds, actually experiences "taste". Check it out while it lasts (Yahoo doesn't always leave these "juicy stories" up for long!) http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...ence_sounds_dc |

| Fortissimo User | Well I reckon if they were actually using sensors and tracking brain activity in the different centers then there is some reason to believe that an aural stimulus could generate responses in more than one region. But to trust someone's "say-so"? And I always thought a "perfect fifth" was with reference to certain liquid refreshments! |

![]() | Synaesthesia is quite common I think - something to do with cross-wiring in the brain. I think it's more usual for people to see music as colours, a friend of mine has this and didn't realise it was unsual until he saw a TV show on it. There's some quite well known artist who is a synaesthete, and paints pictures to music. Can't remember her name. |
