Fresh water isn't that conductive, and as long as there's no path to ground through you, you're good.

Still pretty stupid though.

I seriously doubt they used it. It is a picture staged for effect. Just throw a cup of salt in the pool and you would kill them all.

I am also thinking the sodium hypoclorite in the pool might produce enough electrolyte to boil them.
