UFO WITNESSES AREN’T CRAZY




Experts have proven it – people who have seen UFOs or had close encounters with aliens are just as sane, sound-minded and responsible as other people!
There is evidence smashes the notion that people who report close encounters with UFOs or extraterrestrials are wild-eyed wackos with overactive imaginations.
They are, in fact, every bit as stable as the general population.
Psychologist Dr. Nicholas Spanos and PhD candidate Patricia Cross from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, ran a scientific study in which they tested the mental health of 49 people who have reported seeing alien spacecraft. Some of the test subjects, in fact, said they not only saw UFOs, but also had actual contact with aliens.
The researchers compared the results of the tests with those of 113 so-called normal people.
“We gave both groups a battery of the standard psychological tests that evaluate mental health,” says Dr. Spanos. “There was no difference in the scores of the two groups.”
Miss Cross said, “We wanted to see if there was any truth to the idea that witnesses to UFO phenomena are psychologically unbalanced. Our study shows that they are very normal.”
Dr. Spanos says that while some of the UFO stories reported by the test subjects can be attributed to planes or hot-air balloons, many of the accounts simply can’t be explained away.
“The subjects we tested who had reported contact with the aliens weren’t attention-starved people with low self-esteem. Most of them were upper-middle class, white-collar professional people who had hesitated to tell others what they had seen for fear that they’d be thought crazy.”
Maybe since the Spanos-Cross study has been published, people will feel less inhibited about reporting unusual sightings.
“We’re only saying we believe these people are telling the truth and our tests prove they are not insane,” says Dr. Spanos.

Exactly. Anyone willing to setup a scientific study consisting of 162 test subjects to prove that these are completely accurate reports is crazy.

I wonder how many of those offering things for sale to trumpet players (whether it be lessons, methods, or hardware) that tout "proven results" have had 162 "subjects," and if they had 100% success.

I believe in UFO's and have seen them multiple times, and when I say UFO's, I mean Unidentified Flying Objects and ONLY that. When people talk about UFO's they are ALMOST ALWAYS referring to the "Shiny Metallic Flying Discs that have Aliens in it", and that is not what UFO means. And if they got a good look at the UFO and found that there were aliens in it, it wouldn't be a "UFO" anymore.

Another question is why do people automatically associate these UFO's with aliens? There is a much more likely chance that there is a secret project in which these flying objects are being made by other people (possibly some secret military force) and are accidentally spotted during test runs. That is quite possible, much more likely than some mysterious creatures traveling thousands of lighted years to get here (a needle in a whole field of hay) just for some completely random reason.
