![]() | United 93 Well, I was wondering how America would receive this: http://www.clickondetroit.com/entert...80/detail.html I have a funny feeling that Universal is going to really loose money on this. I think that if this was a documentory it would be more fitting and acceptable to the families who lost loved ones on that day. But a "Blockbuster" film Phooey, just hollywierd trying to "cash" in on the misforturne of others I think. I don't know we'll see what happens. They are suppose to donate some money to the memorial fund for flight 93 but I suspect that most Americans will find this not cool! We'll see what happens....

![]() | Ugh. I surely wouldn't go see it out of respect for the families tied to that flight. A & E made a movie about it as well and showed it several times, but I didn't watch it. I wonder if it was well received and that is why they took a chance on the big screen? I dunno, but I certainly won't support the movie by going to see it. They must have the OK from the families to do it though, wouldn't you think? If I thought every penny would go to them, I might support it.......but probably not. I know none of us want to see movies made about the other flights. This one was unique in that the passengers brought it down, but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth and a lump in my throat. It was part of the entire ordeal on 9/11 and all of the news footage is enough, IMO. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm with you, Alex. Why do we need to have a movie about this? Sure they will donate SOME of the profits to the families. Big Deal. The men who brought this plane down were heroes, plain and simple. They knew what they were facing and decided that the terrorists would not succeed in the plans. The people who were on the plane and did or could not aid in the foiling of this plan faced unimagined terror, knowing theye were going to die. All of their hopes and plans destroyed. No Hollywood writer or actor can begin to imagine what was in the hearts and in the minds of these people. I think it is a disgrace to make a movie about this, especially with all of the Hollywood nonsense that you know will be in there. I will not support this. -cw-
