unsticking polyurethane glue

Does anyone know how to unstick Polyurethane glue?
I glued a modified peg onto a sax stand peg, and I want to take it off, but it's kinda of difficult, as I poured the glue inbetween the cracks of the original peg and the modified peg.
Any ideas?

What are your pegs made of? Soaking them in acetone will dissolve the glue, but it will also damage wood, plastic and take the finish off of metal. Good luck.
