Well, it's not exactly like just going out and buying a muscle car, bluegill. It's a piece of Americana... an icon of a popular TV show and apparently the buyer will buy it if he thinks he can make a buck off it in about 10 or 20 years. People will pay outrageous sums for memories cum investments.

American histroy, yes. But $9,900,500.00 is still quite steep. I feel like something a little more time-tested and internationally recognized might be a better investment if his goal is to sell it.

It's beyond steep, it's ridiculous. My only point was that you made it seem like the buyer was just in the market for a car and bought a collector's item when a good Mercedes or BMW would have been been better.

I'm with you, though. That's lunacy, spending that kind of money even for a TV icon. But, you know what they say: celebrate diversity, even the breathtakingly stupid kind.
