| Mezzo Forte User | "At age 42, it seems that there are plenty more high notes in his future." HAHA, no pun intended... I dunno, I thought it was funny. Anyways, it's nice to see some real musicians finally gettin' some time in the light. Though not everybody likes Wynton, he has done an incredible amount of work for the jazz scene. Well done Sir, bravo. Here's to another 25 yrs. |

![]() | I like him fine! i echo the notion that it is great to see an actual MUSICIAN getting kudos and respect, as opposed to loop heads and sequencer freaks! Or worse, "boy bands" or "girl bands" where NOBODY PLAYS ANYTHING! Heck, most of 'em don't even really sing (Jessica Simpson comes to mind!)! I think Wynton Marsailis is the most amazing trumpeter I know of. Sure there are guys who can play louder, higher, faster and better legit, but he can do it ALL well! Way to go Wynton! D/&out

| Forte User | Ditto, Nick. "Art as expression...not as market campaigns...wil still capture our imagination". Yup. Totally captured, I am. So many are so critical of him; time will be the real test, and he's passed it so far. Way to go, Wynton. An opera? Hoo boy! That will be something!
