Went and busked a little

I went into town (prescott) and busked a little. I got nothing, zip, nada. OK so I don't have um .... repertoire or anything.... but When The Saints Go Marching In is pretty hard to mess up, and even most of the mess ups sound jazzy. And I feel I'm getting pretty decent tone and vibrato. So I played that and a bit of Girl From Ipanema, and well, those Midwesterners pretty much tuned me out. It didn't help that as soon as I chose a spot to stand and play, the most beautiful restored '40 Ford coupe EVAR parked behind me, and everyone was paying attention to the car. I kinda thought that might help but..... it did not. In fact, with my cornet from the same year, blue jeans with cuffs turned up, and black leather jacket, maybe most thought I was somehow "with" the car or something?

Anyway, the main thing is I suck, or at least need a bit more time to be more interesting, and I got out and did it.
