| Fortissimo User | What a weekend! Wow, what a weekend. First of all, you folksesses that went to ITG... you're all finding your way home (and probably crashing straight to bed to get ready for whatever tomorrow morning).... take a huge glass of water and two aspirin. Don't bother calling me in the morning. I wish I were with you because this weekend was HE||. My niece was married on Saturday about 350 miles from where we live. We weren't able to attend the wedding because Mrs. was scheduled to work on Friday and again on Monday. BUT... I did manage to send our two "representatives"... we drove the younger daughter to where the older daughter lives (110 miles from here) and the two of 'em drove out to the wedding. That was a 220 mile drive I took on Friday afternoon... AFTER participating in a company golf tournament. The girls got back this evening at around 6 pm... at the older daughter's place. Another 220 mile round trip after dinner tonight! Just got in a half hour ago. On Friday we saw a whole herd of Pronghorn antelope but I'd left my camera at home. On the odds that we "might" see them again tonight I took the camera again. No antelope but I got a couple of "typical scenery" shots. Oh yeah... and on Saturday my father-in-law passed away peacefully. He was 98 and had been in a "long-term care" facility suffering from alzheimer's these past 8 months or so. So now Mrs. is going to be scratching to find a flight out to be with her Mom and attend the memorial service while I "sit" the kids through their last two weeks of school assignments and exams! Oh joy! (Actually, in this case the Alzheimer's was a bit of a blessing... everyone had essentially said their "goodbyes" much earlier so it wasn't a shock at all. So no tears needed for "Max".. he lived a full and long life. Here's some typical scenery from Southern Alberta A very old "hay barn" ![]() Storm clouds gathering ![]() |
