![]() | Why Music Education is necessary Subject: Why Music Education Is Necessary An Oboist in a symphony always used to suck on her reeds during rests. During a performance she sucked so hard that the reed lodged in her throat. The music librarian called 911. The operator said they'd send paramedics right away. The music librarian asked is there was anything they could do while waiting for the paramedics. The operator replied "cover the part with a trumpet using a straight mute."
