rbdeli has a spectacular aura about
1935 Mount Vernon Bach.

You don't see too many of these on ebay Auction. I had a friend back in college who played an old Mount Vernon Bach that looks similar this and he said it came from his Dad in the 1930's.. Wow.. I wonder how many of you guys might have an old Mount Vernon? These are obviously pretty rare.

Mount Vernon Bach, 1935

Re: 1935 Mount Vernon Bach.

Bach was not in Mt. Vernon, NY until 1953.
The Bach factory was in the Bronx from 1928 to 1953, meaning the 1930's manufactured horn was made in New York City.
The ebay model could well be a superb instrument and worth a considerable sum.

I have heard the Mount Vernon models were very good trumpets, but don't know anything about the models made previously. I wonder if they were referring to the mouthpiece. Something must have been confused.
