6310Z flugel bell- yellow or gold?

I always thought that the Shew flugel had a yellow brass bell and that gold was not an option. I was at the local music store and the tag on the 6310z said it had a gold brass bell. I checked the model on the horn and tag and it was 6310Z not 6310ZG like I might have expected. It did look like it could have been gold from the colour of it.

I checked the Yamaha site(s) and found some conflicting information.

Canadian site:
http://www.yamaha.ca/show_model.asp?...de=YFH%2D6310Z

US site:
http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/...RIBUTE,00.html

I realize that on the US site it refers to the 631 on the 6310 page but it lists the correct bore size(631 is .433 no .413)

Can anyone shed any light on this? Is it an option or is one site wrong?

The Canadian site is metric!

No idea.... you'd have to ask Yamaha.

I never go to the US website. I always go to the Japan website in English.

http://www.yamaha.co.jp/english/prod...ugel/index.htm

According to that site there is a 631G and a 6310z.
The 6310z is .413 bore. The 631 is listed as "gold-brass" and a .433 bore.
Very nice looking from the pictures:

the rose brass is not an option on the 6310z...atleast not a standard option. u might be able to special order it...

i've owned both the 6310z and the 631. I prefer the 6310z.

i like the kanstul sig 1525 the best tho.
