african wooden or ivory horn/trumpet

yeah. maybe you do or don't know about these. but if anyone has one, or knows where to get one with out going to the motherland, i would appreciate the help...i am in the market for one, and if possible i would llike to not pay monette prices for it.

I don't think you can take ivory out of Africa or anywhere else anymore, so, it would have to be something that made it here before the importation bans came into effect. I think you're going to have a tough time. How about checking with some embassies and seeing if there are some collections around? Also, there have to be some colleges or universities with ethnic music departments that could help you out.
