Amazing...new horns?

I tend to come and go as time permits to places like this, as well as checking out horn designer sites. Like any browsing, it ends up being - when I have time - and certainly all just for fun. Consequently, I am sometimes surprised at - when coming to this site or others - that they have been updated with new features or look...or in the case of a trumpet designer, see new horns.

This brings me to what I discovered today. I make no secret about the fact that I've had many conversations and e-mail exchanges with Felix at the NYTC. I do not currently own nor endorse his line. I have had the opportunity to play a great many of his horns to date....because I have an interest in new designs and am semi-actively looking for another horn. So... not having checked his site in a while, I went today. I was totally flabbergasted. Looking at the Stage 1 line... it's like the site exploded with new models.
Bb's, C's, Flugels, even rotary versions of all...plus a modular tpt with interchangeable bells.

I just talked to this guy last week. Now all these new models? Truly stunning - you should really go see for yourselves. I just find it totally fascinating...

Re: Amazing...new horns?

They're all beautiful, especially the signature Bb and flugel. What I really liked about all of them was that they are all extremely tasteful. They're not so over the top that they wouldn't fit into a section. Awesome, awesome horns.

Re: Amazing...new horns?

I agree with you, John. I really even chose some of the more "non-traditional" models to post here. There are many others there that are a bit more conventional - at least to the eye. Go check the site for the rest of them. If they play like the ones I've tried.. and this guy has only gotten better as things go along... then this is a very impressive collection. I was really stunned today. I hear there are a few more about to roll out also. I don't know what else to say... wow.
