Ambassador or Bach T330/Mercedes ll

Lads, I was gonna buy a Bach Prelude T700 from a friend (I've just started playing..2 months in) but he sold it to his brother...
I'm now looking to buy either an Olds Ambassador, Bach T300 or Bach Mercedes ll
My Question is, Which one sounds the best? Best tone, which one is the easiest to blow?

I've seen a few go on ebay and the ol finger has been hovering over the bid button but I really don't know which one to go for.

Any help would be great.

I don't know if putting this will help anyone decide what's the best Horn but I really love the sound Of Chet Baker... If only I could play a a tenth of that lol...

Cheers
Geoff

I got a Ambassador Cornet today and I love the thing...

Dont owrry about getting the sound of Chet Baker honestly. Listen and it will develop eventually. The way i hear it Chet has a dark tone wiht a airy tone. The airy tone is not something you wnat to develop quite yet. YOu are not well enough off to start creating your own voice :P. jk jk

Go fro the olds

Ambassadors have a great reputation for a good reason.
Both my Ambassador cornet and trumpet play easily, in tune and with good tone. Buy one in good shape. On eBay, take your time. There are lots of Ambassadors out there, so don't feel like you have to grab one that's seen too much abuse.

I don't have any idea where you are located, so, I can only give you a general bit of advice. Find a local pro or high level amateur trumpeter that you can 'con' or pay to look at trumpets with you, and advise as to the best for you. Trumpets are like people. They might all look somewhat alike, but each one is an individual. Just because some horn has a fantastic reputation, its sister just may well be a real slut of a horn. Just like people, right?
Find the individual that suits you by trying out several. The search is fun, all in itself, just like finding a wife.

The difference being, you can easily unload your horn on eBay, if you make a mistake!

Wives are not so easy.

Been there and done that, thus, I totally agree.
