wilcox96 has a spectacular aura about
I had the Light and Heavy versions for a good while on trial. Of the 2, I would have to say the Light was better to me. It is definately an eye catcher. I will say that some others played this horn...and did some blind testing while several folks went out of the room we were in to listen. Ironically, out of about 4-5 horns, people kept saying this Fides sounded the best.

I did not get to play it on a gig setting. However, I'm sure it would be right at home against other models. Tuning seemed to be just fine...no quirky notes. Pretty even blow across registers. There is a guy on the NYTC site (Tim Doorn) who plays these. His name on here (and/or on Trumpet Herald) is gospel tim. You can do a search for him...sure he would be happy to give you his thoughts about the horn.

You are doing the best thing by checking them out thru NYTC.
