| Mezzo Forte User | Bach bell question Ok, I've had a memory lapse. I can't remember what the star on the bell signified. Was it Vindabona? I just saw a 72 bell Strad with a star on the bell and I can't remember if that was the case or not.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Bore indicator is usually on the 2nd valve casing... M, ML, MLV, L, or XL. I don't think I've ever seen a MLV (Vindabona) with a lightweight 72 bell. I have seen a 65* MLV. That was a RARE beast, indeed. Best, T
