Unhappy Bach Omega Accident

I found a friend a bach omega for sale on craigslist and he bought it, but when he brought it to school our private teacher said that it wasn't a pro-line trumpet and yelled at us for making his parents get an intermidiate trumpet.

Re: Bach Omega Accident

If that story is true, the teacher is way off-base. The current Omega is not a pro trumpet. The old version was much closer.

You already have posted several times in different threads about Omega's, etc. Maybe you should revisit them for the reponses already made and use the Search function for others.

Re: Bach Omega Accident

If it plays well, and sounds good, and it is what you want. Who cares?
The private teacher sounds like a bit of a Wxnkxr.
BTW An Omega is NOT a Strad. both are Bach (thats the similarity).

Indian will become famous soon enough
Re: Bach Omega Accident

Your teacher sounds like a jerk find a new one. The Omega was a step up student horn with a few more features but no where near a Strad in quality or performance but good for the price. The earlier ones were better quality and had more features than the newer ones. I had a friend that had one and over all it was not a bad horn but also not a Strad either.
