![]() | Benge 3x+ leadpipe change Hi All, Has anyone switched their leadpipe to the Kanstul CG pipe? If so, how did it improve the instrument? Thanks, Brian

![]() | Dear friend: I have read in TH that a person change the lead pipe from his 3X+ from a UMI one with poor results, a lot of person including me recomend that call Kanstul an Ask for the lead pipe of a Chicago 1001, he change for the leadpipe of a Chicago 1070 Big band anf the results were terrific. He found that his horn was more open and free blowing. So considere this 2 alternatives. Im a Benge trumpet Fan, If my UMI 3X+ leadpipe dies I will call Kanstul and order the 1070 lead pipe and/or 1001/1070 tunning slide which Mr. Kanstul recomends without any doubt. |

![]() | There is a music teacher here in North Vancouver who plays an LA Benge 3x+ and he changed to a De Bruyker (spelling?) lead pipe and what he told me was his range increased by three semitones.
