You need to make a decision based on YOUR playing experience. Spend a year playing everything that you can get your hands on. Take notes. By the time you are done, the right horn will have found YOU. Selmer, Kanstul, B&S, Getzen also belong on the list of horns to try!

![]() | Re: Best Brand [Bach / Conn / King / Yamaha] Welcome to TM !!! It is hard to answer since you did not say what your skill level is and what type of music you like. More information would at least guide us in a direction to help you. By limiting the horns you look at you may be eliminating the horn that would be best for you. Are a beginner? If so, do you have a teacher or mentor. They could be a tremendous help in finding the best horn for you. But in the end you will have to decide what is the right horn for you and the best way is to play as many horns as possible. I would also recommend that you look at some quality vintage horns as well.

![]() ![]() | Re: Best Brand [Bach / Conn / King / Yamaha] Welcome to TM! Since you are in Hungary, are you planning to buy something locally from a store or online from an overseas location? All of the brands you listed make excellent horns - as well as the others mentioned. Since none of us can give you any specific recommendations, buying online is just a crapshoot. Pick one and hope for the best. Good luck.

![]() | Re: Best Brand [Bach / Conn / King / Yamaha] rowuk is right, play what you can, but if you like dark sounds then speaking from experience get a Bach, though at times its a #### to tune |
