Boosey & Hawkes

Greetings,

I have acquired a Boosey & Hawkes REGENT trumpet, silver finish with Ser. No. 307735. Am looking for info on this model. Is it suitable for a beginner?

Best regards,

nomojo

Re: Boosey & Hawkes

Hi,

The Regent line were student trumpets (as were the cornets). B&H made lots of them and they're built like tanks. They were very popular in bands in the 60s and 70s. I'm guessing that 307 serial number is late 50s/early 60s.

Lot's of people learned to play on them.

Regards,

Trevor

Greetings Trevor,

Thanks for your quick response. Looks like the regent might be a good way to start again
