| Forte User | How much did he pay for it? Does he like the horn? I know it sounds awful Star Trekish. It may try and assimilate your Studio if you are not careful *nerdy snort laugh* Van

| Mezzo Forte User | As it turns out, she got it from *gulp* Sam's. Said it had good tone, but crappy valves. She said she figured this was just because it was new, though I highly doubt that. And no, it will not even be in the same room as the Studio. Ever.

| Forte User | A good player can make any horn sound good. I dunno how that player could ENJOY playing such a piece, but maybe she likes the feel of it (Has she ever played any top-line horns? Is she all there upstairs?). Van

| Mezzo Forte User | The best horn she has played is a Getzen 700 series (or whatever). It's actually the school's horn (I'm the one responsible for them actually coughing up the money). Her family is not very financially blessed, and she thought it would be a good bargain. As for her being all there, there's times when I wonder.

![]() | You can bet if it came from Sam's it is a Chinese made --- ah ... junker. My advice -- take it back to Sam's and get your money back. Plenty of decent used horns that will play better on eBay for a reasonable cost. I have a real nice Cleveland "Toreador" Trumpet sitting here I would give away if someone bought a case. Buy a case, get a free horn (I bought it from this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3746476753 and had the slides worked on and the horn cleaned). A great player. Anything you do, stay away from those shiny, but awful Chinese horns. Jim
