![]() | Bought myself a new main axe! Hey there everyone, I just bought myself a new trumpet. Well, it isn't new, but it's new to me. I bought it to replace my main horn, an aging Selmer Paris Radial. I bought a 1985-1990 Bach Stradivarius 72L (large bore, I believe). Here are the pictures (after I gave it a serious scrub-down). Don't worry, I already know about the dent in the bell. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It plays great, so I was wondering if anyone has had some good experiences with these Bachs. This is actually the first Bach horn I've ever owned. |

![]() | Re: Bought myself a new main axe! That's a nice looking horn! My two main axes are a standard ol' Strad 37 in silverplate, and a Strad 229 C. No other horns I've played have "clicked" as well with me... There are a few people around the traps that don't like Bach Strads, but it's a matter of preference and player-horn compatibility, really. I have a friend who recently bought a Strad 72, after having played on a Kanstul pro model for 5 years and instantly fell in love. Looks like a good purchase you've made there!
