| Calicchio 1s2 vs DT 1s/3rM Hi, Wondering if any players out there who have had the oppurtunity to play both of these horns, could offer up an opinion about their characterists in how they compare in similarities or differences? I'm looking to possibly purchase a Calicchio horn and based on the written characteristics of these horns, I feel these would be the two to consider. I play in a band that plays Motown, Old Rockabily, Swing and some Latin. I also get called on to play in Broadway style musicals when they need a strong upper register player. I have spoken with Dave(a great guy!) at Calicchio and got his opinion about the 1s2 but haven't talked about the DT 1s/3rM model in a while. I don't really recall what he had said about that horn. But in any case, would also like some other opinions about these two trumpets. Thanks! Archie |
