Calicchio Copper Ultra Solo

Say I would like to hear what y'all (who have had the experience) think of the Calicchio Copper Ultra Solo specifically how it compares with other horns.
Also any one care to comment on using a #3 or other leadpipe with the #3 bell? I must say that from what little info I have available it looks/sounds like a super horn. I am very interested in it.

Thanks, Vic

I had the chance to play one a while back. The horn, I thought, was fairly heavy. Valve action was very good, intonation was great. Felt fairly open to me, not a Wild Thing or anything, but comfortable on the face. The tone was pretty warm throughout. At lower dynamics, it has a very "intimate" sound quality. Very dark, very warm. When I tried pushing on it, getting more forceful on it, it didn't feel to me like I was really getting all the air into the horn, and it just wasn't responding the way I wanted to. It reminded me quite a bit of a Kanstul ZKT 1500, only the 1500 seemed a bit more versatile, not quite as warm, but more nimble.

Hope that somewhere in that jumble I helped.
