I've blown the big bell version in gold plate, nice horn, but it didn't knock my socks off.
Felt quite open, and slotted well.

I've tried a Black Reverse leadpipe canonball w/ big bell recently. Overall, it has a nice sound and feel, just like my bach strad except slightly better flexibility and responsiveness. As with scottlashbrook, this horn wasn't the "knock my socks off" type. It's a solid horn worth it's price more than a new Bach is, but you have to try for yourself to make your own decision on whether or not it's more than that for you.

there was a previous thread where some folks gave their views on Cannonball trumpets. I played on one at a music store and really liked it. I'm not sure how it would mix with other horns and didn't have mine with me to compare it to, but I really enjoyed playing it.
