    Carol Brass

Greetings everyone! I am looking for opinions on carol brass trumpets from people with first hand experience with them. Reason being is that I am looking to purchase their CTR-700 Legend Light. I am looking for an upgrade from my old dinged up student trumpet and would like to know if the CTR-700 would be a good horn to get. Thank you!

I purchased a Carol pocket trumpet 2.5 months ago. I still love it.

I purchased a pocket also...was so impressed that I've ordered another trumpet from Don Rugg at California Music Supply.

Better buy one before the prices go up. As they gain in popularity, the demand is sure to rise and the prices will go up with demand.

A great trumpet. You will not be disappointed!

I just bought a Carol and I'm super excited about it. The valves are really nice and they sound great!

My teacher was impressed, as well. He really tried to find something he didn't like about it and came away more impressed than he was initially.

Carol is a fantastic value, IMHO and as previously mentioned, Don at California Music Supply is a good guy to deal with. Honestly, forget the price point, the horns are really great quality.

Absolutely FORGET the price. If you gave this horn to virtually any trumpet player and did NOT tell him the price, the player would most likely guess the price would be in the $3000 plus range. Yes, the quality is that good!

I have heard testimony from former Benge / Schilke / Bach owners who made the switch to Carol Brass.

I've got my order in for a new trumpet from Don...can hardly wait until it gets here! Looks like about a month from now.

Full disclosure - I do not work for, nor do I own any stock in CarolBrass.

I must admit, that CTR-628R looks like a sweet horn.
That double leadpipe likely gives it some serious volume generation power.

    Re: Carol Brass

Yeah, the 628 looks cool with the twin nickel leadpipe.
It is a great horn for all purpose work, both soft playing and "cutting through".
These horns are really a steal. Building and finish is top notch.
If you go for a horn in the 5-6-7 series, you will get a pro horn at student prices.
Even the CTR200 is worth a try. Plays great.
