Courtois trumpet, is it worth to refinish?

Hi, I got a courtois for little but the paint is not in a very good shape.
Does anyone know this type of trumpet and is it worth it to refinish it?

    Many thanks!

Looks pretty decent. Have it checked by a tech. Respected brand should bring in some decent coin

That's a beauty and it looks in pretty good nick. Even without a lacquer job it would be worth quite a bit, provided the valves and slides are in decent order. It looks quite a lot like the 708 Sonic model they made for Leblanc: Specs on Courtois
Definitely worth refurbishing if it needs it.

    Thanks for the replies,
I bought it online and the seller will ship it tomorrow so next week I know more about the exact state.
I dont think it is the sonic model because mine doesn't have a trigger on the first valve as far as i can see.
It also looks like this one:

Not so sure - the Phantom is black and has a first-slide crook, which yours doesn't have. But yours is definitely from that era (1990s), and whatever model it is, it will be a great trumpet. I have a Let us know what you discover! I have a slightly older sliver-plated 113M which is a lovely instrument with great valves.

I think I solved it: it's a 311 ML Prestige model, but it looks like the first-slide crook has been removed:

More pics of that model here (scroll down):

Re: Courtois trumpet, is it worth to refinish?

I received the instrument and it is a mystery: it looks exactly like the 311 model in the pictures, and i mean exactly! only it is not a 311!
according to the engraving on the leadpipe it is a 112L

Is it possible two models look exactly the same but are different?

The more i think about it the more I am convinced this trumpet is wrongly engraved
