![]() | Re: Craiglist Deals? The valves, from a distance, look iffy. You should inspect first, particularly on craigslist, and negotiate. This comes from experience. CL is great for that; it's just you and the seller. Ed Mann MySpace.com - Ed Mann - 51 - Male - LA, California - www.myspace.com/jazzlips |

| Mezzo Forte User | Re: Craiglist Deals? I would agree with the advice given so far. The Craigslist offering looks like a Concert Grand model with all the tubing? I imagine you are familiar with the connloyalist site with info on most Conn models and photos. As a possible alternative, there is a 22b New York Symphony on shopgoodwill.com - Welcome now that looks decent. It is #3502674 .Auction ends on 4/8 and bids are up to 89.01 with 14 bidders.

![]() ![]() | Re: Craiglist Deals? I've found some great deals on Craigs List. Last year I got a silver plated Bach Strad in pretty good condition for $600. A few months ago I bought several Getzen student horns from Craigs List for students of mine. I got them for around $100, put a little work into them, bought new mouthpieces, and sold them for $250. My students got excellent instruments for a third of what the music stores are selling the POS Bach TR300s, I made a few bucks and everyone wins! -Jimi

| Mezzo Forte User | Re: Craiglist Deals? I just bought a very nice Olds Ambassador cornet, deluxe case, mute, Bach 5c, Olds 7c from a local party for $50. As a surprise, the lacquer is in very good shape They also had a passable Bundy trumpet for $40 which I took a pass on. That K-mod reference makes me envious!
