Don't you hate it....

Don't you hate it when you look up a trumpet on a whole heap of sites and they have the same twenty word blurb that they were given by the manufacturer word for word? It is obvious that nobody has tried the horn.
eg Look up a Schilke B5 and it will say.The B5 model has slightly more resistance than the B1 with a more compact sound. This model provides flexibility in sound color with continuity in timbre in all registers and outstanding projection.
It makes it so hard for a person to work out what is fact and what is sales pitch.
That's my gripe for the day.
PS (I play a B5 and love it just in case you are wondering.)
Guess that's why they invented trumpet forums.

Hi, Ozboy,

Sounds like Brass Review.com with so many "unregistered" reviews as not to be taken seriously. I've always figured the reviews were from the manufacturers or dealers.

Why "unregistered" reviews any way as the majority seem positive on nearly every instrument?

Am I the only one who noticed something is amiss?

Best wishes,

Lloyd

Ozboy,
I think this makes the decision easier. You can't believe ANY of the people that write ads anyway, so you are forced to do it the right way the first time: be patient until you get your hands on one!
