Eclipse

Disclaimer: I have not reviewed all 84 pages of this Forum.

I live in Nashville Tennessee (north central Tenn.). Where is the closest Eclipse dealer? I'd like to play one as I may be in the market for a new Bb.

Re: Eclipse

Bruce Lee-Northernbrass is a dealer in Houston Texas.

Chuck Willard--Midwest Trumpets is a dealer near Detroit Michigan.

Re: Eclipse

You may also want to ask if anyone near you has one and give it a try. Just be aware of the different playing characteristics of the different bells. (Check the website Eclipse Trumpets for more)

Re: Eclipse

I live in Clarksville and have an Eclipse MR in scratch gold. I will also be at the festival in Murfreesboro tomorrow, but won't have the horn with me. If you'd like to play it let me know and we can find a way to get together.

Re: Eclipse

What a GREAT weekend!!!!! I had the priviledge of meeting Pat Harbison Saturday afternoon and spending a fantastic 30 or 40 min. alone with his new Eclipse. Yes, friends and neighbors you heard me correctly, I was alone in a practice room for an extended time with Pats new Eclipse.
Well, if I had the wants before, I've got 'em BAD now. The horn plays like a dream. It is a great deal lighter than my Bach. The low and mid range response was very easy and the intonation was incredable in all ranges on the horn. Though I'm not a high range specialist I had no trouble w/ Fs and Gs. This is roughly comparable to my Bach. The most obvious factor was the ease of response and the intonation. I also enjoyed the fact that this Eclipse produced a tone that sizzled. Brighter than my Bachs but with definite presence. If it isn't already clear to everybody, I'm having difficulty finding the words to express my enjoyment of playing this instrument. I'm a BELIEVER!!

Thanks again to Pat for trusting me w/ his "baby" for a trial run.

T. Mac (Still excited after 24 hours)

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, Pat's a VERY cool guy!!

Re: Eclipse

Now correct me if I am wrong, but I am under the impression that most eclipse owners will go out of their way to allow interested parties access to their instrument(s).

Is this something that is common amongst other owners of different brands?
