Eclipse?

Was just wondering what happened to them. I have been out of the loop for a while.

Re: Eclipse?

They are still building fine horns.

Eclipse Trumpets

The web site is pretty static though. Leigh used to spend some time here but unfortunately we haven't heard from him in a while - he does have a business to run though.

That brand is one of the few that I have never had a chance to play test. A definite hole in my knowledge base!

Re: Eclipse?

Thomann's has them. If they no longer sell them you can play mine when I move back early next year. I have the MHY bell. Thanks for the info Robin.

Re: Eclipse?

On the subject of Eclipse trumpets, what ever happened to the little girl that won Leighs contest to get a new Eclipse trumpet at the factory? She was a very frequent visitor here for quite awhile and then, she just disapeared. What happened to her?

Silverstar is in Cedar Rapids, Iowa working at a retail shoe store. She is making money to buy a car and return to college. She still lives at home. She is enlisted in the Navy Reserve and supposedly shoots on the pistol team. She is not playing much trumpet. She did some sand bagging during the flood. Her family wasn't effected by the flood.

I agree. What a shame. She posted a few MP3s that she played and I was impressed. The child has talent that should be nurtured.

Re: Eclipse?

Mike, I don't know if you remember me, but I was one that talked to you about your Eclipse....I finally picked up one of my own, an MR, and absolutely love it. I think Lara is actually starting to pick up the horn again, at least that what's I read on one of her last blogs. I can't wait to record a bit with the Eclipse...

Re: Eclipse?

I have started a little savings for a future trumpet and there is a good possibility I may try to raise enough money to get a custom built eclipse or lawler or what not later in life (eg when i am towards the end of my college career :). I hear these are FINE FINE FINE FINE FINE infinitely FINE horns (my definition of FINE is VERY VERY VERY AMAZING)
