Mike, I have a flugel that I love, but an Eclipse flugel that might come up for sale. Post a couple of pics and either me or one of the other TM'ers will probably take good care of your horn for you. Sorry to hear about your health problems. I've been there so much over the past 2½ years. Don't be too quick to hang them up -- my docs said I'd probably never play again and I'll be the first to say that my horns were a great part of my recovery! Let's just say that the desire to play well again was a great inspiration for me. I hope it can be the same for you. By the way, I really want an Eclipse but my medical bills are my fort responsibility right now. 9 surgeries in 2-years make it impossible for me to afford a new horn. I’d love to buy a new horn right now, but it would be teaching my daughter the wrong lesson to spend money on a new horn when I currently owe thousands to the people who saved my life. If you or anyone else has an Eclipse that they are going to let go at a great price I'm in the market, especially if it is an LC.

| Mezzo Piano User | Bandman, My problem is that my lower back is nothing but scar tissue from an injury and then surgery. At this point, it hurts to even pick up a laundry basket. I need to send the flugel to Leigh first to get my initials removed unless someone buys it and has the initials MD. As for the Bb, I'll be keeping it just in case my daughter wants to pick it up one day. It is extremely hard to let the flugel go because it was one of the first ones made. My Bb is original Eclipse specs and is Savannah with gold accents. "FreshBrewed" is engraved in the bell. The flugel is scratched gold with a polished gold bell. They are both true works of art. The Bb is on the Eclipse website under custom horns......I think. I'll try to get some pics posted soon. |

Mike - sorry to hear about your back. It seemed for a while that all would eventually be well with your back, especially after it holding up so well in Iraq. Take care man GW

Hey, Mike! Sorry to hear of your continuing problems with your back! I hope that, like Bandman said, this is temporary, and that you will have the strength and desire to get back to it. In the meantime, please let me know when you're back in the Houston area, so that I can come pay you a visit. Hang in there, Mike! Best always, Bruce

XLY SCRATCH/ POLISH GOLD PLATE SOLAR BELL POLISHED GOLD PLATE Removed from the ITG lineup, and now in my living room. I bought the XLY prior to the ITG, and I just had to have the gold solar after playing it.... I thought I would be sleeping on the couch for months after that one but my wife turned out to be really cool with it (she's awesome!). One thing I took away from the ITG was this - cool horns are great but spend a lot more time PRACTICING!!!
