| Eclipse Special addition - Innovation Should Be Rewarded Hello all, Please take a second and go over to the Eclipse section and take a look - there's a picture - of the Eclipse Special Edition. This kind of workmanship and innovation should be seen by all and appreciated by all. Notice the bell bow design and is that a bell bow tuning design or and interchangeable bell design or both. Really amazing. Innovation in the trumpet world usually is very limited,( usually special editions of previous models or fancy engraving and two tone plate job ) but this is something that should be appreciated. Anyway, since we all are here to learn - learn about the Eclispe right now, post something their ( be nice ) , shell out a few bucks ( pounds ) and place an order with Leigh, then run on back, I'll be waiting. | Pianissimo User | Hi and many thanks for drawing attention to the Special Edition eclipse Larry, especially here on the dedicated Calicchio forum. It is great that these days there is so much choice for the dedicated trumpet enthusiast and the ability to share information here on TM (praise be to he). Just to answer a couple of questions, the design of the back bow is standard on all Eclipse trumpets. That replaces the regular tuning slide so that the leadpipe, front bow and bottom pipe are made from one uninterrupted tube. For more information about the philosophy behind this design innovation you might like top take a peek at www.eclipsetrumpets.com and have a browse through the pages refering to the construction of these horns. The Special Edition trumpet pictured is one of just five, each numbered and engraved, which Leigh produced to mark the first anniversary of the launch of the Eclipse range at the Frankfurt Music fare last year. At the time of writing I believe only number 5 is still available. All the best. Noel. |
