Re: factory tour i think he was trying to keep it a secret that the horns were made by kanstul for whatever reason. personally it would make me feel a lot better about buying a zeus!

Re: factory tour A really interesting factory tour is Schilke. I took the Bach tour the fall before I did the Schilke one and the differences are amazing. I did it when they were still on Wabash Ave. Havent' done the tour at Melrose Park.

Re: factory tour I did a Schilke tour when Renold was still alive. You are right, it was a really great experience. Laskey made me a picc mouthpiece and just stamped my initials on it. To this date I still have no clue what it is... Thanks for posting Elvis making a tuba bell. Viva Las Kanstul...

I am always suspicious of guys with green rubber gloves and no eyes........... I wonder if that white plastic bucket on the wooden block has great significance in the assembly of Zeus trumpets........... |

Re: factory tour Alex does seem a difficult and suspicious fellow; was my take of the very short chat i had with'em the other day. I happened to notice the showroom pics on the tour there, matched up with Zig's site- but he said he wouldn't discuss who built his trumpets. I suppose the reason is mostly because of why i was calling. I was looking for an inside take of Zig's work for my own interests. Understandable to protect one's investment. And i'm learning that the instrument industry's just a little competitive. ') Who knew! I didn't-
