![]() | frankenhorns i have been wanting an Eflat for a while but am seriously short on $. I have been toying with the idea of putting together a frankenhorn but i am not sure if it would be worth it. i have getzen Bflat that wouldnt be worth reselling but i can take the valves from it and a bach 229 bell. so all i would need is a leadpipe and someone to put it together and cut the slides down. what do you guys think; would it work? would be it worth it? or is this a totally off the wall idea? |

![]() | 20 years ago I had a college instructor who had a Getzen Eterna Bb that had been cut down to an Eb. It was his only Eb trumpet, and seemed to play quite well. So I'm sure it *can* be done, but to get it done well would probably cost nearly as much as buying a used Eb.

![]() | This is the kind of job my friend Dan would do. He owns the Village Tinker Brass Repair shop http://members.evansville.net/dschultz Drop him an email and ask. His prices are usually very reasonable. Jim
