G vs Bach Comparisons

I own a new Olympus in Brushed/Laquered and I love the horn. I'm thinking about adding a G to my collection also. If it's really all it's supposed to be I can't imagine why not. Would love to hear from some G owners with real Bach experience how it compares. I am looking the Bach efect. And if the G is as well made as my O, why would I get anything else?

I play the ZeuS G and also a 1972 model Bach Strad....

I enjoy both horns very much. My ZG plays as well as my
Bach and seems to have a better pitch center.

A better pitch center would be a good reason in itself! - Not to mentioned the brushed finishes. But alas, I do not have a Strad for comparison.

Yeah, those finishes on the Zeus are pretty nice looking.

Joe-
I'm kind of ashamed to ask, but your avatar- is Snoopy humping Charlie Brown's leg?

I played a Bach 72 for nearly 15 years! When the time came, I searched, and searched...you get the picture.

I tried out the ZeuS Guanerius and simply loved it! As Joe stated, I found the pitch center to be right on, but also was very impressed with the horn's tone! Absolutely lovely!

IMHO, you simply cannot go wrong with a ZG, or the ZO!

By the way, I just attended the TMEA in San Antonio...it was a blast!

Blessings,

From what I've heard, the G has a brigher sound than a strad. If you want a ton of reviews (many comparing them to a bach), do a search on TH.

From my personal experience with both the G Horn and the Strad ... they are both very similar in tonal qualities. It is hard for me to one produces a brighter sound than the other .... I can change the sound with either embrochure or by changing to a different mp.
