Richard Oliver has a spectacular aura about
Getzen 3850 Custom Cornet

She arrived yesterday.

http://homepage.mac.com/dominusvobis...toAlbum12.html

Immeasurable improvement over my old $25 Getzen 300.

Notes don't slip all over the place. Great sound on a Wick 4!

It's heavy compared to the 300 and has levers!

Brett Getzen,

Thanks for your help and kudos to Lee Walkowich at Chuck Levin's Washington Music Store as well.

All the Best,

Richard

He's so good now, he can play the Clarke Studies upside down ( and in French!)!

Naw . . . I'm improving, but that's as far as I'll take it.

Besides, a broken clock is right twice a day. I try to keep that one in mind.

Thanks Guys I do appreciate it.

, Manny, that was so funny.... Richard, the next step is to try blowing them from the other end (I mean the bell) I am not sure if even Clarke himself could do that But as one of my tutors, John Miller, liked to say, "There is no limits for your imagination and talents"...Keep us informed how blowing on this horn is going...whatever end you choose to use

Mark Bradley will become famous soon enough
Re: Getzen 3850 Custom Cornet

I had one of these and I think it's one of the best cornets going. I sold it because I wasn't using it much but not because it wasn't an excellent little cornet. Great looking too with that copper bell. If you like the Wick you ought to try the Kelly 4B (yes, it's plastic)-- believe it or not it's a great player.
