![]() | Re: Getzen 900 Series Eterna I've been playing a 1979 severinsen model for about 20 years now . It blows my 1965 early indiana bach 37 out of the water. I also play and 896 flugal ,a long bell D eterna , a 300 Eb , and a 940 pic. Getzens are grossly underrated mostly by people who have never played one. ( I was one of those people) Intonation is spot on,projection is great and valves are unquestionably the best in the business. I've been to the factory and was very impressed with the craftmanship and care that goes into each instrument. Best of luck Ed |

![]() | Re: Getzen 900 Series Eterna I have a Getzen 900H - with the tilted bell. Now stripped to bare brass. I agree with all the top posts, The BEST valves I have played, a light horn, responsive, and a great lead horn. Price was reasonable. After stripping it of lacquer, I will probably get it plated; it came up so well.

![]() | Re: Getzen 900 Series Eterna I used to have a Getzen Eterna Severinsen model that I found at a second hand store and bought for under 150.00 USD. The valves were incredible and it was VERY free blowing. I liked it so much that i sold a Calicchio that I had had built for me and switched to the Getzen. It was a workhorse and a great lead horn. I have nothing but good things to say about Getzens (the older ones, I haven't played any of the newer ones. ) Ed Courtois Balanced Model trumpet Rudy Muck Super Artist clone 1954 Olds Super w/ Bach uptilt bell Frankenhorn Olds Special cornet Besson cornet (London) Getzen Eterna Flugel (4 valve) "Hindsight is ALWAYS 20-20" |
