Re: Gold Finish on Getzen Genesis

Hey there Brett, thanks so much for keeping us updated on the gold plating. How did it go this week? Are you cranking out the trumpets now?

My son has been without his Genesis since October and is SO eager to get it back.

Re: Gold Finish on Getzen Genesis

This morning the first "repair" horn is going into the tank. If the process works out right for this one, we should be able to start cranking out the warranty horns. Those will be done before any new production Genesis are run through. You guys have been waiting long enough to get your horns back.

Great news Brett... I haven't had my horn since October 2006... Hope the new process works out well... (especially on my horn)

Thanks for the updates. It keeps us from calling Mary each week...

So did the first horns turn out? Is the plating process working now? Talked to Mary last week, she thought you were close...

Re: Gold Finish on Getzen Genesis

I just read through this entire forum in one breathe... whew! First off, welcome (long overdue perhaps, but I mean it!) Second, thanks for making the amazing horns you do. Ive had the opportunity, nay, pleasure to play on various horns made by the Getzen company... amazing! I even had my brother start out on your horns because they were so good! Lastly, and from the speed reading i know im not the first to say this, but its so refreshing to hear updates from a manufacturer about problems and the steps they go through to fix them. Thanks a lot for joining TM and spilling your golden secrets!

Re: Gold Finish on Getzen Genesis

Getzen told me my horn would be plated by the holidays and that had been a long term target after waititng and waiting, and I am STILL waiting, but at least I have my horn. I can't imagine a company holding on to someone's instrument that long while trying to do R&D on fixing a problem? Why did they not just send it back to you till they worked things out?

I am sorry Brett but we have all been more then patient and civil during this ordeal. Please give us an update. Please fix this!
