    Holton C102 Cornet

Throughout my very amusing years of researching, finding rare horns come and go, one cornet that I never really saw again was the Holton C102.

It was in 2014, when I was considering a SC cornet and I have been given a very early Yamaha SC Cornet. It was the only Shepherd's crook I've ever played. I went on adhuntr (a multi region craigslist search) and went through my usual Holton search. One listing was a Holton C102 cornet.

Only at 300 dollars it was a mint condition Bach 184 model clone by Holton. I think the 1980s~1990s was the Holton Bach craze but seriously it was one heck of a beautiful horn. Few hours later I tried to find it but it was gone.....

Any information of these special cornets?

I have one, but it's not a short cornet. They must have recycled that model number.

No problem, Holton designations are rather confusing!
