Holton Questions

I am a recent "comeback" player after an over thirty year absence. Last weekend I was working an estate auction (brother-in-law is an auctioneer) when I spotted an old trumpet case. I opened it and found a Holton Collegiate. It was in extremely good condition, no dents, scratches and only some minor finish loss. Valves were sluggish but moved, and all but one slide was free. I was able to purchase it for $45. Brought it home, oiled the valves and they play like a new horn. To me it plays and sounds incredible. From what I can tell it appears to be a 1949 model, serial number #205901. What do the experts think?

Cotton -

I started out on a Holton Collegiate. They are fine horns, especially for $45!
